A MUST READ ESPECIALLY ENTREPRENEURS

I quivered at the audacity with which the men were able to carry out such horrible act in broad daylight.

This is a first witness account;

A few days ago at a big market in Lagos, there was this quick rush of market women towards a particular shop. Their body gestures were suspicious; out of curiosity, I stopped one of them and asked what the rush was about. She dropped the bombshell;

One of the big rice stores was scammed of almost N700,000 worth of goods within minutes.

How it happened...

Two men approached the sales boy, asked for a particular brand of foreign rice, ordered 26 bags, and paid cash. The close neighbors saw that  the boy counted several pieces of N1000 notes; I am sure the guy was over the moon with such sales within few minutes that morning.

He was even assisted by one of the men in loading the bags of rice into the white Sienna they came with. Few minutes after the buyers left, the excitement made the sales boy want to take another look at the money again but lo and behold what he saw were bunches of white paper well held together with elastic bands. It was his shout that attracted people.

The owner of the business was alerted, she came down swiftly. Though she was trying to be calm, but this is a huge loss and dept hung on her neck.

How do people do this evil and sleep at night?

The point is; as an entrepreneur what amount is too much to receive as cash in your business? How do you identify fake naira notes? How do you identify fake alerts?

It is not enough for you to know these things, are your employee(s) aware? What are the security measures in place in your business? For example, a surveillance camera. You can also make out time and equip yourself with safety security measures and also inform your staffs.

May we not run into debts due to someone else's greed.
