According to Marriam Webster dictionary an ENTREPRENEUR is one who Organizes, Manages and Assumes the risk of a Business or Enterprise. So to say an ENTREPRENEUR shoulders the responsibilities in a Business or Enterprise.
Here are some keynotes an ENTREPRENEUR should look out for;
-Work in a variety of field- while some entrepreneurs may try to get as much experience as possible only in the field they want to end up in, also working in many fields and taking many roles as possible is recommended. No knowledge is said to be a waste, equip yourself with different basic information in business generally; arm yourself with information it will help your feet to be strong in Business and also you will need to utilize at different stages of your climb to success ladder in your Business.
- Treat every small task as a chance to excel- if you can find a way to do even the most mundane tasks extremely well, you wiIl be noticed. Your Business should be known for Diligence and Consistency. And also known to carry out all task equally not selectively (big/small task). Most times, people give big task to trusted hands while they give small task to people they haven't varified; when the unvaried person who is given small task does excellent job then people are motivated to give bigger task. Don't misuse opportunity because of negligence.
-Learn from your mistakes- aside from the fact that failure teaches you lessons about what doesn't work, it can actually be success in disguise if you treat them as such. Its okay to make mistakes but staying down is what is very bad for an ENTREPRENEUR. Your Enterprise/Business should develop daily, this to say each mistakes should trigger success (a new idea to tackle that mistake).
-Always aim to do better- most of us feel successful if we are outperforming the people around us, but instead try to outperform yourself even if you are already performing well. Be innovative, regardless of your Business current level. Business is a competitive world, there's no business you are into that there are no people doing it, its the difference you create that will help sustain your Business/Enterprise.
-Choose a support partner- who you choose to be your business partner is as important as who you choose to be your life partner. As a matter of fact, it is very vital for your partner to agree in whatever business you do, choose someone who you have same passion and idea, so that there can be a reasonable level of involment, agreement and commitment, for the growth of the Business .
-Value your voice- when you are the only woman in the room or the only person of colour or the youngest, it can feel like your voice doesn't matter. But actually it matters more because you are bringing a new perspective to the table. As an ENTREPRENEUR you must wear a garment of high self esteem, believe in your capabilities and trust yourself to be able to achieve greatness in that field. You and your business will worth the value you place on both; it starts with your believe.
-Establish a routine that helps you look forward to each day- everyday is about high impact. Its important to perform at 100% in every moment with true kindness, authenticity and generosity. To giveup, packup, feel frustrated and dejected will be easy if you don't motivate yourself; be passionate about what you do. Creativity can not be over emphasized in ENTREPRENEURSHIP so you can keep deriving happiness in that which you do.
