TWO EFCC IMPERSONATORS NABBED DURING OPERATION

Two EFCC impersonators reached a dead end after they were caught during a seize and forfeit operation in Lekki, Lagos.

According to a source, the incident happened today in Lekki Gardens Estate. The impersonators were said to have visited the estate with fake EFCC ID cards and vests. They accosted an alleged fraudster under the guise that they had an order from a court.

They emptied the victim’s apartment but unfortunately for them, one of the residents in the estate called a lawyer. The lawyer took a good look at the said court order and noticed it was a fraud. The court order was from a magistrate court and the impersonators were daft to not know that a magistrate court doesn’t deal with EFCC related issues.

One of the impersonators on noticing that they had been caught, tried committing suicide by jumping from the 4th floor. He didn’t die but sustained injuries. They were apprehended and handed over to the real EFCC operatives.
